Rev. Dr. Adam Filipek, pastor at Holy Cross and Immanuel Lutheran Churches, was born in Minot, ND, and grew up in the small town of Burlington. He graduated from Minot State University in Minot, ND, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a minor in Philosophy, a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2009, and a Doctor of Ministry from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, IN in 2019.

Dr. Filipek’s area of academic interest is Early Pastrictic Homiletical Rhetoric.
